We know it can be daunting to even 'think' about spring cleaning the inside of your home, let alone the outside! But, it is one of those things that just has to be done. After wrestling with the inside, it's time to venture outside to spruce things up and maintain your property. But where should you start? Read on to find out!
1. Clean those windows
Looking for an instant refresh to your home? Look no further than your windows. Take off the screens, give the windows a good washing, and voila! Sparkly, clean windows. For windows higher up, it would be best to call in a professional (like us at Homestar!)
2. Clear your gutters
There are so many opportunities that can clog up those gutters... pesky winter storms, for one! Once spring comes, you definitely do not want those blocked when the rain comes falling. If you're not steady on the ladder, or simply don't want to do it, you know who to call.
3. Time for a roof inspection
Storms can cause quite the disaster, whether it's immediate or over the long term. Have your roof inspected to make sure that there are no loose or missing shingles.
4. Deck prep for warmer days
Warm weather can really sneak up on you here in Southern New Brunswick. So, you'd want to be ready to enjoy it when it does! Sweep, wash the deck, and bring out that patio furniture!
5. Spruce up that fence
Mud. Debris. Grime. It all has to go! While you're taking the time to uncover your fence's hidden beauty, inspect it for any damages that need fixing. And, if you're thinking about transforming it, try a coat of paint!
6. Clean your doors
One of the first things that your guests will see coming to your home are your doors. Simply clean it up (add a coat of paint if you'd like) and it'll be looking snazzy in no time.
7. Welcome "Matt!"
If your welcome mat is damaged, go get a new one. If it's not, just give it a good clean and invite those guests over to enjoy the nice weather!
